Dr. Fadia Mayyas is a professor in Clinical Pharmacy at Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) and the former vice dean of the faculty of graduate studies. She completed her bachelor study in pharmacy at JUST as the first of her class, and then completed a master and research fellowship at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. She was a scholar from JUST to complete a Ph.D. in translational molecular medicine/molecular cardiology at Case Western Reserve University and Lerner college of medicine of Cleveland Clinic Foundation, USA. Dr. Mayyas won the American Heart Association doctoral fellowship award and the doctoral excellence award in molecular medicine in USA for 2011. She joined the faculty of pharmacy at Jordan University of Science and Technology as an assistant professor in 2011 and as an associate professor in 2016, and a full professor in 2020 with seniority. She also completed a one-year fellow ship in responsible conduct of research in ethics and epidemiology at university of California San Diego and Jordan university of Science and Technology in 2019. Dr. Mayyas has more than 50 scientific publications in human and animal models of cardiovascular diseases.
