Haneen is a Graduate Student in the Neuroscience Program at the University of Oklahoma Health. She holds a master’s degree in Clinical Biochemistry from Jordan University of Science and Technology. In 2022, Haneen joined the Galvan Lab, where she investigates the impact of tau-induced astrocyte senescence on brain homeostasis and its contribution to the pathogenesis of Alzheimer’s disease. Her research aims to advance understanding of the molecular mechanisms driving Alzheimer’s disease and to identify novel therapeutic targets and interventions. She was part of the Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) Fellowship Program in Jordan (Year 2).

I also want to thank you for bringing the RCR program to the MENA region. Being part of it has been incredibly valuable, the training we received was thorough and detailed, and it gave me the knowledge and perspective to recognize ethical boundaries and approach situations like this thoughtfully and professionally. It’s truly been one of the most impactful parts of my development as a junior researcher.
