April 30, 2024, Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) held a webinar for its students titled “Ethics in Scientific Research,” presented by Dr. Sawsan Abuhammad. The session focused on introducing JUST students to the fundamental principles of ethical conduct in research, a crucial aspect of academic and scientific work.
Dr. Abuhammad covered various topics, including the importance of informed consent, data integrity, authorship ethics, and the avoidance of plagiarism. She emphasized that ethical research practices are essential to ensure the credibility of scientific findings, as well as to protect the rights and dignity of research participants.
The webinar was tailored to address ethical challenges that students at JUST might face during their research projects.
