Wesam Ismail, MS, is a passionate researcher in the field of Health Services Research, focusing on kidney transplant patient outcomes. He is currently a PhD student and a Graduate Research Assistant at the College of Pharmacy at the University of Iowa. In his role, he utilizes his epidemiological skills to design studies, manage data and analyze the factors that affect health and medication outcomes for these patients. In addition, Wesam utilizes machine learning techniques to predict patient outcomes.
Wesam’s enthusiasm for teaching and research began early on in his career. He worked as a lecturer in pharmacy practice at King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences (KSAU-HS) College of Pharmacy for five years before embarking on his doctoral journey. During this journey, he earned his Biostatistics Certificate from the Graduate College at the University of Iowa. His work and research have been recognized with a growing record of +8 publications.
As a researcher, Wesam is committed to advancing the field of Health Services Research by improving the care and outcomes for kidney transplant patients.
