Rania Mahafdeh holds a doctorate in pharmacology from Queen’s University Belfast. She also holds a MSc in clinical pharmacy from Jordan University of Science and Technology. She is assistant professor in Pharmacology at the School of Pharmacy, Jadara University. She is a member of the Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences and a memeber of British Pharmacological Society. Rania’s research focused on investigating the role of reactive oxygen species as a potent pathogen-killing in managing drug-resistant pathogens. During her fellowship, she has been working to investigate ethical research practices for respecting patients’ autonomy in intensive care settings by authoring two peer-reviewed publications about ethics and informed consent practices for clinical research in intensive care units in Jordan.
