Rana F. Obeidat, PhD, CNS, RN is an Assistant Professor at Faculty of Health Sciences, Higher Colleges of Technology. She received her Doctor of Philosophy at University at Buffalo, The State University of New York, New York, USA in 2012. Her research program which utilizes both qualitative and quantitative methods is focused on the diagnosis and treatment experiences of women diagnosed with breast cancer in general and early stage breast cancer in particular, palliative care, and patient provider communication. She received George Bennet Dissertation Fellowship, Foundation for Informed Medical Decision Making in 2011, Margaret McNamara Memorial Fund, World Bank Family Network Group in 2010, and Philanthropic Educational Organization (P.E.O) in 2009. Further, she received Jordan Best Paper Award (Hikma Award), Jordan in 2014 and was nominated for New Investigator Award, Oncology Nursing Society, USA in 2014. Dr. Rana has more than 36 publications in indexed peer reviewed journals.
